Project Outcome
Sprinklers Direct has played a key role in the transformation of the former Debenhams store into 74 city-centre apartments, forming part of DBG Group Holdings Limited’s multi-million-pound investment in the city. This ambitious redevelopment has brought new life to the existing building, creating high-quality, contemporary residential accommodation designed to meet the growing demand for premium urban living.
Combining modern design with high-end finishes, the development offers residents a sophisticated and comfortable living environment, with fire safety incorporated as a fundamental element of the building’s design. To support this, Sprinklers Direct installed a bespoke residential sprinkler system designed to provide comprehensive fire protection throughout the apartments and associated areas, helping to safeguard residents and provide greater peace of mind.
The installation comprises a BS 9251:2021-compliant Category 3 residential sprinkler system, featuring over 500 sprinkler heads and 25 electronically monitored zone valves. This extensive system provides coverage throughout the development, forming a key component of its fire protection strategy. The installation demonstrates Sprinklers Direct’s expertise in delivering tailored residential sprinkler solutions for complex refurbishment projects, supporting the safe transformation of existing buildings into modern residential accommodation.
