New Product Trial- Aquatherm

New Product Trial- Aquatherm

Sprinklers Direct are trialing a fusion weld piping system on a project in Croydon, London. The product is manufactured by Aquatherm, a German company that has developed a line specifically for the fire sprinkler market and is listed in the LPCB Red Book.

The product works by fusing the pipe and the fitting together. Both parts are heated simultaneously and then joined with welding times taking seconds and no need for the curing prior to use. The product is robust and is resistant against corrosion and chemicals. The pipe wall has a fibre glass reinforced core to strengthen and increase the lifespan of the product. The product was originally developed to lay in the concrete structure of a building, however it is not limited to just this style of installation and can be installed in a more traditional manor found in residential and commercial sprinkler installations.

Upon completion of the trial Sprinklers Direct hope it will be able to offer the product as an alternative piping system to the norm.
