Sprinkler Installation in Bin Store, Caterham, Surrey

This project was a 3 storey block of flats which requested sprinkler coverage to the bin store. The room is 4m x 3m only and can only be accessed from the outside of the building.

Our design was simple, the head location is central to the room and the mains is located on wall by the door.  We installed a mains fed valve arrangement which is linked to the smoke alarms. The pipework is trace heated and lagged for protection against frost.

The first and second fix took 1 day, we completed the pressure test and returned after 2 months to commission, testing the water supplies and smoke alarm link.
