This fire sprinkler installation in Wales related to a new build 2 bed holiday lodge, complete with outdoor hot-tub and barbecue area, log burner and fitted kitchen. The client built this unit to add to their other properties used as holiday lettings.

Our design was for full coverage of 7 heads which included the bathroom as it is over 5m². It is a single storey unit with a utility/plant room. The booster pump and tank are sited remotely and fed to the plant room, the tank has a 2000 litres capacity and the pump capable of delivering both the sprinkler duty plus 25L/min. We installed a mains fed valve arrangement which is linked to the smoke alarms.

The first and second fix took 1 day, we completed the pressure test and returned after 6 weeks to install the sprinkler control valve in the plant room. We returned to commission a few weeks later, installing the cover plates and testing the water supplies from the booster pump.
