Beudygwyn Farm is located at the tip of Wales, the building was an existing agricultural store that had undergone full redesign and refurbishment to convert into 4no self-contained flats to house vulnerable young adults.

Our design allowed for a retro fit sprinkler system from above (in the loft space) to provide full cover to all areas where ceilings had already been plastered and painted in places. The system required a dedicated pump and tank which was located in the large roof space. The tank being 4500 litres required a section of the congregated panels to the gable to be removed and reinstalled after the tank was hoisted into position with the aid of the local farmer and his forklift. The pipework was setup from the ceiling joists to avoid any risers and keep the pressure of the system to a minimum with a level run of pipe; also fully lagged for frost protection.

This was installed with neighbouring buildings on the site being fully occupied both with the homeowners property and additional extra care block of flats with a number of further vulnerable persons living on the site.
